Villa Astrid Two-storey Cliff House design in Sweden by Wingardh

Called ‘Villa Astrid’. The two storey building is another beautiful work by Wingardhs design studio located on West Swedish Landscape. The Villa Astrid was dictated by the local building code, which stipulates a 3.5-metre eaves height and a roof pitch between 14 and 27 degrees. The first floor contains the bedrooms and other private space, and the second floor has an open-plan kitchen, a separate dining room and a large lounge, for outdoor relaxing it has an outdoor lounge with outdoor fireplace. The exterior was made from concrete, insulated with foamglass and the clad with metal sheeting. The walls have been built in solid, light-weight concrete, plastered on the inside and outside, and then clad with metal sheeting.
