This project is a two storey singe family house designed by architect BAAN Design. Located on an upland waterfront near Genesee Park on Lake Washington the house has expansive views over the lake. This home’s structure may look pretty straightforward, but in truth there are dozens of important design features that help it remain standing. The exterior is cladded in pre-stained, tight-knot cedar siding. The two-story house plan has to do more than simply tell the builders where the walls go. There are important structural supports that must be built into the walls of any home, but especially a two-story home because of the added weight of the second story. Only professional home designers or architects know where these structural supports must go.
