The renewal of the Volvo C30 is more comprehensive than is usually the case with Volvo’s models. The entire front has been redesigned, including body panels such as the front wings.

The Volvo C30 1.6D DRIVe is powered by a 1.6 liter diesel engine that emits 99 g/km of CO2 and has a fuel economy of 74.3mpg on the combined cycle. This means the Volvo C30 1.6D DRIVe is able to run for 857 miles on a single tank of fuel. The Volvo C30 1.6D DRIVe with Start/Stop falls below the 100 g/km carbon dioxide threshold and into VED Band A.

The chassis of the 2010 Volvo C30 R-Design is 10 millimeters lower and the steering of the car has been tuned to be more precise. The 2010 Volvo C30 R-Design comes with front and rear spoilers, lower door trim moulding, side-skirts and 17-inch wheels. The 2010 Volvo C30 R-Design also comes with stiffer springs, dampers and roll-bars, and also equipped with five-spoke Cratus wheels, just like the rest of the R-Design range.

The 2010 Volvo C30 facelift features redesigned soft nose, front fenders, grille, headlights and lower front spoiler, the 2010 Volvo C30 facelift will debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. This gives the 2010 Volvo C30 a new appearance from the front, carving out a distinctive personality which clearly separates the new Volvo C30 from the Volvo S40 and Volvo V50.

The 2010 Volvo C30 facelift will be available with only the T5 2.5 liter turbocharged engine that offers 227 hp and 236 lb.ft of torque at 2300 rpm. The gearbox options offered by the 2010 Volvo C30 facelift include a six speed manual and a five speed Geartronic automatic.
