Ryan Rhodes Designs was hired to create a master plan for the phased update and remodel to this early 1980’s Northwest Contemporary home located in Edgewood, Washington. The first phase to be completed was the Master Suite, which included the extensive remodel of the 380 square foot Master Bathroom. The Owner’s wanted to create the feeling of a spa by opening up the floor plan and incorporating warm, yet simple materials. At the same time, their objective was to keep this first phase of construction true to the original character of the house. The use of Vertical Grain Fir, which is a prevalent material throughout the house, helped tie the new construction in with the existing.
