2010 Suzuki SX4

Suzuki offers four sub 120g/km cars in the City, Supermini and Mini MPV segments. Revisions to 1.6-litre petrol engine for 2010 include Variable Valve Timing system for greater torque flexibility, more power and improvements to fuel economy and emissions.

New Euro Five 2.0-DDiS engine for SX4 4×4 replaces 1.9DDiS unit – now with 18 per cent lower emissions and higher maximum torque; available from just 1,500rpm. 12 per cent improvement in fuel economy for the new diesel engine – 51.3mpg combined. Revised SX4 with 1.6-litre petrol on sale in the UK next spring; new diesel to be introduced later in 2010.

2010 Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer

Mark Adams, Vice-President of GM Europe Design, described the Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer’s design as athletic, powerful and elegant. “However,” says Mark, “this is a stand-alone model and not simply an estate version of the saloon. In fact, all the bodywork aft of the B-pillars is unique to the Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer. We’ve also ensured that its design combines the sculptural artistry and technical precision found in the saloon and hatch models.”

Designers gave the rear of the Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer a unique, yet cohesive appearance by pulling the wraparound tailgate deep in to its flanks and accentuating it with large, fully integrated tail lights.

2009 Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst S

The Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst S Edition joins the normally aspirated Bathurst Edition at the top of the Vauxhall family tree, with both cars receiving a raft of technical and cosmetic upgrades over the standard VXR8. Only a limited number of Bathurst Editions will be sold through selected Vauxhall retailers.

Thanks to the addition of a Walkinshaw Performance 122 Supercharger, the Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst S dispenses 560 V8 horsepower, compared with the standard car’s 431 horsepower, and produces searing acceleration throughout the rev-range and a spine-tingling, banshee wail when you hit the loud pedal.
