2009 Renault Kangoo Z.E. Concept

The Renault Kangoo Z.E. Concept solar panels positioned on the roof are employed to power a temperature regulation system inside the car. Keeping the cabin cool uses a significant amount of energy, but this system also permits a pleasant temperature to be maintained inside the cabin, even at a standstill or when parking, and avoids having to put the climate control system on boost when first getting in the car on a hot day. 2009 Sportec RS425 Audi S4 Avant

A newly programmed engine control and the installation of a sports air filter coaxes a full 425 PS instead of the standard 333 PS from the three litre V6 compressor. All that performance comes from the supercharged 3.0-litre V6. The maximum torque of the Audi S4 Avant has also been distinctly increased by improving the electronics. Instead of 440 a maximum 520 Nm can now be called upon. Whereas the standard Audi S4 Avant needed 5,6 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h the Sportec RS425 Audi S4 Avant only needs 5,2 seconds. At top speeds, though, they are equal as both vehicles are electronically blocked at 250 km/h.

2012 Ford Grand C-Max

The Dearborn automaker revealed its Ford Grand C-Max at the Frankfurt auto show. The all-new, next-generation Ford Focus sedan and five-door hatchback models are scheduled to launch late in calendar year 2010 in the United States.

With two sliding rear doors and a tall roof, the Grand C-Max certainly resembles a minivan, but Ford would prefer you call it a multi-activity vehicle, or MAV, to shy away from any lasting stigma of the ho-hum jelly beans from the ’90s.
